Installed Engine Heat & Preheat Integration | Winnebago Revel Hydronic Systems
Add Engine Heat Sharing to Your Revel’s Hydronic System
This installed service adds an engine-to-hydronic coolant heat exchange loop to compatible Winnebago Revel factory hydronic heating systems.
The integration allows heat to transfer between the vehicle engine cooling system and the coach hydronic heating system through a dedicated coolant-to-coolant heat exchanger. The engine coolant and hydronic coolant remain separated, preserving independent operation of both systems.
When configured for engine waste heat recovery, the system can use heat from the running engine to support cabin heating and domestic hot water production while driving. When configured for engine preheat, the hydronic heating system can help warm the engine coolant circuit before startup in cold weather.
Benefits
- Engine waste heat recovery while driving
- Hydronic-assisted engine preheat before cold starts
- Reduced hydronic furnace runtime during travel
- Improved cold-weather comfort and system flexibility
- Isolated heat exchanger design keeps engine and coach coolant circuits separated
