Parts & Materials - Rixen’s MCS7 Hydronic System Retrofit | 2021-2024 Winnebago Revel
his parts package supports the retrofit of a 2021–2024 Winnebago Revel from the factory Timberline hydronic heating system to a Rixen’s MCS7 Mobile Comfort System configuration.
The Rixen’s MCS7 platform is designed to provide hydronic cabin heat and domestic hot water through an integrated coolant furnace, glycol circulation loop, air handler, system control board, touchscreen controller, and related heating-system components.
Core Included Components
This package includes the core Rixen’s-supplied components required for the MCS7 retrofit configuration, including:
- S3 Hydronic D5E CS 12V diesel furnace, modified for the MCS7 system configuration
- Furnace fuel pump
- S3 90-degree coolant connection kit
- Rixen’s customized S3 hydronic furnace harness
- MCS7 S3 power box
- MCS7 harness assembly
- MCS7 temperature sensor
- MCS7 touchscreen controller with black case
- S3 furnace mounting bracket and mounting hardware
- BWO 355 two-speed 12V glycol circulation pump
- Coolant fittings, hose barbs, pipe plug, and hose clamps included with the Rixen’s component package
- S3 intake silencer
- MCS power harness assembly
- Two 12V open-face kick-space air handlers
Additional Materials
This package covers the core Rixen’s retrofit components. Depending on vehicle condition, prior modifications, production-year differences, and final routing, additional vehicle-specific materials may be required.
Additional materials may include coolant, coolant hose, domestic water hose, fuel line, exhaust/intake routing materials, wiring, terminals, fuse protection, loom, brackets, fasteners, clamps, grommets, insulation, sealants, and other installation consumables.
Required Companion Labor
This parts package is intended to be paired with ODB’s Timberline-to-Rixen’s MCS7 Hydronic System Retrofit service.
The labor service covers removal of the factory Timberline system components, installation and routing of the Rixen’s MCS7 components, system integration, coolant filling, bleeding, fuel priming, commissioning, leak checks, and functional testing.
Optional Add-On
Engine coolant heat exchange integration is available separately.
That optional add-on can support engine waste heat recovery while driving and/or hydronic-assisted engine preheat in cold-weather conditions. It uses a dedicated heat-exchanger loop to transfer heat between the vehicle engine cooling system and the coach hydronic system while keeping the engine coolant and hydronic coolant circuits separated.
Vehicle Compatibility
2021–2024 Winnebago Revel originally equipped with the Timberline hydronic heating system
Installation Notes
This product is intended for use as part of an installed retrofit performed by Overland Design-Build. It is not intended as a standalone DIY installation kit.
Final component requirements may vary based on vehicle condition, prior modifications, selected configuration, production-year differences, and current Rixen’s component availability.
