Description
The factory Revel bench seat is built on a lightweight plywood platform with no reinforced mounting structure and no safe way to secure child seats. This replacement system is engineered from the ground up to solve those limitations with a 3/16" thick laser-welded structural steel base, proper restraint geometry, and support for two modern child seats—all finished in upholstery matched to the Mercedes-Benz front seats.
A precision-built steel foundation, integrated ISOFIX and top-tether anchors, and automotive-grade 3-point belts create a secure, purpose-designed seating system tailored specifically to the early-generation Revel interior.
Engineered for Strength
The structural steel base is built from 3/16” thick steel with a 1/4” thick top plate and anchors through the cargo floor in eight locations using 1/2” grade-8 bolts threaded into 3/8” steel backing plates under the chassis. The result is a rigid, overbuilt foundation that far exceeds the strength of the OEM plywood bench construction.
