Overview
The VC-1051 Fast Adjust Inverted Rally Strut system upgrades the front suspension of 2015+ Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4x4 and AWD vans with a performance-focused, field-adjustable strut designed for heavy vehicles operating on mixed terrain. The inverted strut architecture increases strength at the lower suspension mounting point while improving damping consistency during extended off-road travel.
Fast Adjust Damping
The Fast Adjust system allows quick compression and rebound tuning without removing components or using specialized tools. This enables drivers to adapt suspension performance for pavement, washboard roads, rocky trails, or heavier cargo loads.
Adjustability allows a balance between ride comfort and vehicle control depending on driving conditions.
Inverted Strut Architecture
The inverted rally strut design increases structural rigidity at the lower mounting area where suspension loads are highest. This configuration helps improve durability and maintain consistent suspension performance during sustained off-road use.
The architecture also reduces stress on critical internal components during heavy impacts or high-frequency terrain inputs.
Built for Heavy Overland Vans
Sprinter overland builds frequently add weight through interior systems, water storage, gear, and recovery equipment. This suspension system is engineered to support these heavier configurations while maintaining stable ride characteristics and predictable handling.
The system integrates with the vehicle’s factory suspension geometry while improving control over uneven surfaces and rough terrain.
Fitment
Compatible with 2015+ Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 4x4 and AWD (VS30 / NCV3 platforms). Proper installation and alignment are required to ensure correct suspension performance.
Suspension upgrades may interact with other modifications such as lift systems, larger tires, or rear suspension upgrades, and should be evaluated as part of the overall vehicle build.
NOTE: Van Compass updated their auxiliary bracket in October 2022. If your VC bracket was installed before that date, you will either need their brackets modified, or the latest (Rally strut compatible) revision of upper shock brackets, available here.
