Whether you're hauling a full overland build through the Rockies, running a commercial route loaded to GVW, or living in your van full-time, the stock ECU is holding your engine back. Mercedes leaves significant performance on the table from the factory. We put it back — safely.
What changes:
- Turbo lag drops dramatically — throttle response is night-and-day versus stock
- Torque curve fills in across the low and mid range, where you actually feel it
- Power increases ~25%
- Calibrated for altitude — performs at sea level, 5,000 ft, and 12,000 ft passes equally well
- Smooth, refined power delivery — not aggressive, not twitchy, just more capable
- Designed within drivetrain and turbo limits — we don't tune past what the hardware can support
Who this is for:
Overlanders and van-lifers: More torque when loaded, better throttle response on climbs, and altitude compensation that actually works. Colorado, Utah, New Mexico — this tune was built for that terrain.

How it works:
This is a bench tune — your ECU is removed from the vehicle and shipped to us. Here's the process:
- Place your order and contact us to schedule.
- Remove your ECU (we'll walk you through it — it's straightforward)
- Ship it to Kerma TDI via FedEx or UPS
- Kerma TDI tunes and returns it, typically within 2–3 business days of receipt
- Reinstall and drive

Note:
Your ECU needs to be sent in for tuning. Your van is down for the duration of shipping — plan around that. Most customers are back on the road within a week door-to-door.
