Rixens MCS5-to-MCS7 Hydronic System Retrofit Labor
This installed labor service converts a 2019–2020 Winnebago Revel from the factory Rixens hydronic heating system to a Rixens MCS7 Mobile Comfort System configuration.
The Rixens MCS7 platform provides hydronic cabin heat and domestic hot water using a coolant furnace, glycol circulation loop, air heat exchanger, domestic water plate heat exchanger, mixing valve, coolant reservoir, touchscreen controller, and system control board.
What This Service Includes
- Removal of factory-equipped Rixens MCS5 hydronic components required for the retrofit
- Labor to install and integrate the Rixens MCS7 heating and hot water system
- Installation and routing of the MCS7 furnace, coolant reservoir, glycol circulation components, air handler, domestic hot water heat exchanger, mixing valve, touchscreen controller, control board, wiring interfaces, and related system support components
- Adaptation of coolant, fuel, exhaust, intake, domestic water, air heat, electrical, and control-system routing as required for proper retrofit integration and serviceability
- Configuration of cabin heat and domestic hot water operation through the MCS7 control system
- Coolant filling, system bleeding, fuel priming, commissioning, operational verification, leak checks, and final function testing
Exclusions
- This line item is for labor only.
- Rixens MCS7 parts, materials, coolant, fittings, hoses, clamps, wiring, hardware, and consumables are sold separately.
- Engine coolant heat exchange, engine waste heat recovery, and engine preheat integration are not included in this labor line and are available as a separate installed add-on service.
- Repairs to pre-existing vehicle, plumbing, fuel, electrical, cabinetry, or hydronic-system issues are not included unless quoted separately.
Optional Add-On
Engine coolant heat exchange integration can be added separately to support engine waste heat recovery while driving and/or hydronic-assisted engine preheat in cold-weather conditions.
This optional integration uses a dedicated heat-exchanger loop to transfer heat between the vehicle engine cooling system and the coach hydronic system while keeping the engine coolant and hydronic coolant circuits separated.
Vehicle Compatibility
2018-2020 Winnebago Revel originally equipped with the Rixens MCS5 hydronic heating system
Installation Notes
Final installation requirements may vary based on vehicle condition, prior modifications, production-year differences, and existing hydronic-system configuration.
