ODB - 12 Volt Heat Cable, Freeze Protection Kit (66 FT) | 2021-2024 Winnebago Revel
Hardware only. This price is for the 66 ft self-regulating heat-cable kit. Professional HydroLink-integrated installation is quoted separately, from $2,539.88 installed as a standalone service or $2,149.88 bundled with compatible plumbing work.
Extend your Winnebago Revel’s wet-camping season with our 12V Heat Cable Kit, engineered specifically for 2021–2024 Revel models. Designed for seamless integration with the HydroLink Water Control Panel, this system provides automated freeze-risk mitigation for critical plumbing runs during cold-weather operation (not intended for extreme sub-zero conditions).
This kit runs approximately 66 ft (20 m) of self-regulating 12V heat cable along the vulnerable plumbing runs, automatically adjusting heat output — up to ~150°F under cold conditions — to maintain consistent heat without hot spots.
A bi-metal thermostatic switch automatically controls system operation, activating the heat cables at approximately 30°F and switching them off near 40°F. This allows the system to provide automatic freeze-risk mitigation without requiring manual driver intervention.
Startup current may briefly reach ~24–26A, then self-regulates lower in normal operation. Adequate battery capacity (we recommend a 600–900Ah lithium bank) and proper system design are required.

- Marine-grade dual 12‑circuit fuse panel with integrated ground bus, rated for up to 100A.
Battery runtime estimate
Heat cable only: about 6 hours per 100 Ah at a 13.4 A continuous maintenance draw, or about 12 hours per 100 Ah at an assumed 50% thermostat duty cycle (6.7 A average). These examples assume 80% usable battery capacity, no charging, and no other electrical loads. A single 320 Ah battery provides about 19 hours continuous or 38 hours at the assumed 50% duty cycle. Cold starts, colder conditions, wind, and other electrical loads can shorten runtime; these are planning estimates, not guaranteed operating times.
When the heat cable and both pairs of tank heating pads run continuously together, the estimated load is 36.6 A (13.4 A cable + 23.2 A pads): about 2.2 hours per 100 Ah, or 7 hours from a single 320 Ah battery, under the same assumptions. Other vehicle loads reduce this further. A 600-900 Ah lithium bank remains recommended for extended winter use.
