- Upper Safety Latch: Automatically latches closed when the rack is raised, providing secure bike transportation.
- Standard & High-Speed Rigging Options: Choose between two PowerLift rigging options - the standard configuration supports up to 155 pounds, while the high-speed option supports 100 pounds with a drastically faster lift & lower operation.
- Safer and Cleaner Bike Transport: Elevates bikes above dust and debris for cleaner and safer transport.
- Lower Storage Box Compatibility: Designed to fit an Aluminess Explorer Box below the upper lifting tray for additional storage. Please note, the PowerLift does not fit the Slim Box due to space and clearance requirements.
- Incorporated Grab Handle Design: Includes a vehicle-specific rear door handle relocation system to center the rack on the door while keeping your taillights visible.
Fitment Specifications
The Aluminess PowerLift Bike Rack is designed to be used exclusively with the Aluminess Base Unit. To ensure proper fitment, please review the following details:
- Base Unit Compatibility: The PowerLift is compatible with both the current (Gen 2) Aluminess Base unit as well as the previous Gen 1 model and Owl B2 base unit. If you do not have an Aluminess BackPAC Base Unit, we offer a package that includes this.
- Hinge Requirements: This rack is not compatible with 270-degree door hinges and requires 180-degree hinges for proper use. If your vehicle has 270-degree hinges, we offer a 180-degree hinge kit for easy conversion.
- Comprehensive Kits Available: Whether you need a base unit, a hinge conversion, or both, Aluminess offers kits to ensure seamless installation.
